āLife, āPower, āRuns.
The ā Infinity Pixels TechnologyĀ is a result of countless hours of researches, hard work, testingĀ and our personal on field experience. We heard a lot of customers feedbacks, and created theĀ āInfinity Pixels Lineup from our true passion.
āLife, built to last.
Featuring a native 12V IC,Ā true 18AWG 0.75mm wires,Ā thicker white PCB, Epistar branded LEDs and solid core pins xConnectors.Ā We were looking for the best combination to set a new standard in the pixel industry.
āPower, efficiency is the key.
In traditional bullets, each pixel has to lower 12v to ~3v for the LED bulb. This is commonly achieved using external components like resistors or voltage regulators. Both methods are tremendously inefficient, wasting a lot of energy through heat, and can possibly lead to unwanted fires, if heat builds up.
Safety and Efficiency are important for us.Ā
This is why our newĀ āBulletsĀ design features a native 12v IC, without the need of additional resistors or voltage regulators on the led to step down the voltage.
This results in way less heat dissipation, compared to traditional 12v bullets, making our āBullets safer to use, running atĀ lower temperaturesĀ and extremely power efficientĀ at only 0.14W/pixel. Just 15 mins after being powered up, traditional bullet pixels were running atĀ 113°FĀ whileĀ āBullets were running at 79°F.
We also increased the PCB thickness to make heat dissipation even better, and chosen a white PCB that reflects sunlight, extending components lifespan over the years.Ā
At Pixel-Now we like to test our new products even beyond their limits, to ensure we are providingĀ safer products to our customers.Ā
Our new āICĀ has superpowers. Itās the end of pixels underpowered at 11.9v
The nominal voltage is 12v and maximum from specs is 16v. But this hasnāt stopped us from discovering the limits of thisĀ āIC.
We pushed 16v and 24v in our lights and they were just operating a bit warmer. (but still cooler than resistor bullets)
At 30v thermal and current protection kicks in and turns off the LED, but by adjusting down the voltage to 12v makes them function again.
We discovered the absolute blowout of the led doesn't occur until a stunning 42V input...
For additional safety test we pushed voltage even higher. We reached the limit of our power supply and fed 61v in the bullet, except for a bit of increase in heat, there were no major safety concerns shown.Ā No magic smoke. No fires. Weāre definitely impressed by how safe these lights are.
āRuns, extendedĀ lengths.Ā
The lower power consumption, combined with a true 18AWG (0.75mm) wire and Solid Core pins xConnectors allows you to put up toĀ 3x more LEDs on your controllers, maximizing the ports on your controller and the PSU usage.Ā
āBulletsĀ runs without any power injection/balancing can reach:
~ 475 LEDs at 12v and 30% brightness
~ 525 LEDs at 16v and 30% brightness
~ 825 LEDs at 24v and 30% brightness*
*24v were used for testing purposes only, the maximum power input recommended from specs is 16v. Using 24V is NOT covered by warranty in case of any faults.
if you would like to see a native 24v version too, be sure to drop us a message and we'll be working on it.
